Today was the 2009 Georgia State Championship race at Wildhorse Creek Park in Powder Springs, GA. It was a tough race and I had a lot of good competitors but managed to pull of the #1 plate on my cruiser. I missed the #1 plate in 11 expert by one finish position :-( I was tied for 1st with two of my other competitors and unfortunately, one of them beat me giving me the #2 plate!

Friday night was a great night at the Cajun Nationals Pre-Race in Gonzales, Louisiana! Not only did I make the main event in 11 Cruiser, but I got my last win as an Intermediate and turned Expert. That definitely made things different and tough for Saturday and Sunday's races! But 11 Expert was the biggest class there the entire weekend having semis every day. I did make it to the semis on Sunday, but that's pretty good for a new expert rider! I look forward to training harder and making it to my first Expert Main!

Yesterday was our State Championship race here in Georgia. I had some very intense competition and was racing and battling for points with some very good friend of mine, Owen Witcher and Walker Kuene. Owen was two points in front of me for the #1 plate, but I knew what I had to do and got out there and did it. My finish put me in a tie with Owen but because of my finish, that broke the tie and I am the 9 year old state champ! Thanks to my friends and fellow competitors for a great race!

April 7th, 2007 - Raced at Carrollton, GA today at the Rage Downhill BMX. The weather was very cold, we even had snow the night before and that affected the rider turnout. But even so, the racing was good and I had some good riders to compete against and I won my main event which gave me my 8th and last Novice win. So now off to a new chapter in my racing as an Intermediate and looking forward to racking up those 25 wins starting locally over the next couple of weeks and then its off to the Cajun Nationals in Gonzales, LA the last weekend of this month.

We had a really good weekend at Oldsmar BMX this past weekend. It was very cold and windy. Hard to believe we were in Florida. I think because of the weather, it scared a lot of people away from the races. I was the only 9 novice there on Friday and Sunday and there was only one 10 novice there so on both of those days, we got moved up to the 11 novice class which made it pretty tough. I got out there and did my best against the older kids and even though I didn't do as well as I would have liked, it was still good experience and I enjoyed myself. Saturday was a different story though and against other kids in my class, I walked away with 2nd place in the main event.
